How to download

Video pins and idea pins
Pinterest has two kinds of video content. Video pins are single clips, often re-uploaded from other platforms, served as MP4 at up to 1080p. Idea pins are multi-page stories that can mix videos and images; here you get the pin's main video, and images are available from the image tool.
Pinterest doesn't strip watermarks: if the original clip carried one when it was pinned, it's in the file. What we never do is add a watermark of our own.
Links and regional domains
Pinterest uses a different domain per country (pinterest.es, pinterest.fr, pinterest.co.uk, ar.pinterest.com and many more) plus pin.it short links from the app. All of them are accepted; the pin id is what identifies the content. Pins on secret boards are private and can't be reached.
One pin per link: boards, profiles and idea pins
This tool takes one pin at a time, and that is a deliberate limit rather than a missing feature. A board link, a profile link or a search page has no video behind it, so pasting one returns nothing: open the board, tap the pin you want and copy that pin's own address. If you need a whole board, the tools built for that are browser extensions that walk the board while you are logged in and hand you a ZIP; they work on your session, not on a public link, which is why a site like this one cannot do it.
Idea pins are the multi page stories Pinterest pushes in the app. You get the pin's main video here, with its audio, and the other pages are not listed. The images of a pin, including the cover of an idea pin, come from the Pinterest image downloader with the same link.
Secret boards stay out of reach for the same reason as private content anywhere: Pinterest serves them only to the accounts they were shared with, and this tool has no account.

Is the Pinterest video downloader free and safe?
Yes. No account, no app and no limit for normal use. We fetch the MP4 Pinterest serves and hand it to you; we keep no copy and log no full links. Apart from the Google Analytics cookie, which counts visits; nothing for advertising.
Do I need a Pinterest account?
No. Public pins are visible to anyone without a session, and that is what we fetch. Pins on secret boards need your login and stay out of reach.

Yes, with the main video of the pin. Idea pins with several clips give you the main one; the audio can be kept as MP3 as well.
Can I keep the audio of a video pin as MP3?
Yes. Under the MP4 the result lists pinterest_ plus the pin id with .mp3; the track is extracted on our server at 128 kbps. Pins that were uploaded without sound give a silent file.
Why does the video look softer than on Pinterest's website?
It shouldn't: you get the largest rendition Pinterest serves, up to 1080p, which is the file its player uses at full quality. If the clip was re-uploaded from another platform, Pinterest's copy is only as sharp as that upload was.
Can I download a whole Pinterest board at once?
No. One pin per link, and a board address returns nothing because there is no single video behind it. Open the board, tap the pin you want and copy that pin's link. Batch board downloads need a browser extension running inside your own logged in session, which is a different kind of tool.
Do you keep Pinterest videos on your servers?
No. The MP4 comes from Pinterest's CDN to your browser; on a phone it passes through our server only to force the download, without touching disk. The full link isn't logged.
Does it work with regional Pinterest domains?
Most of them, yes: pinterest.es, es.pinterest.com, ar.pinterest.com and pinterest.com.mx read the same as pinterest.com, because what identifies a pin is its number. A few country domains serve the pin differently and fail; when that happens, swap only the domain of your link for www.pinterest.com and leave the /pin/number part alone. It is the same pin and it downloads here.
Why does a pin give me only an image?
That pin is an image pin. Video pins show a play icon on Pinterest; image pins open in the image downloader.
Are Pinterest videos saved with sound?
Yes. Most video pins have audio and it's kept in the MP4.
Can I download videos from a secret board?
