Download Tumblr videos in MP4
isaveall is a free online tool to download the video of a Tumblr post as an MP4 file, in the quality the blog uploaded. Paste the post link, from the blog's own subdomain or from the at.tumblr.com share link, and save it without an account.
How to download
Open the post, use Share or the address bar and copy the link. Links from the blog (name.tumblr.com/post/...) and at.tumblr.com work.
Drop the link into the field above with Paste, or type it in. Links from the blog's subdomain (name.tumblr.com/post/…), the www.tumblr.com/name/id form and at.tumblr.com share links are read; a blog on a custom domain isn't recognized, so copy the post's address on tumblr.com instead. Use Safari or Chrome, not the browser inside the Tumblr app.
Tap Download MP4 for the video, or Download MP3 on the row below for its sound. It saves to your gallery or Downloads.
What you can download
Video on Tumblr
Tumblr hosts videos uploaded directly to a post on its own servers; uploads are capped at a few minutes per video, so most native Tumblr videos are short. Those are the videos this tool saves, in the exact file Tumblr serves. Many Tumblr posts instead embed a YouTube or Vimeo player; those files live on the other platform and are outside this tool.
The file you get is that MP4, in the resolution the blog uploaded and with its sound, named tumblr_ plus the post id. Nothing is re-encoded on the way.
Tumblr links that work
Tumblr shows the same post under several addresses: the blog's own subdomain (name.tumblr.com/post/ followed by the post id), the newer www.tumblr.com/name/id form, and the at.tumblr.com short link the app creates when you share. All three are accepted. Blogs that use a custom domain are not recognized by the link check; open the post on tumblr.com (the permalink or reblog icon leads there) and copy that address instead.
Reblogs work because every reblog points back to the original post and the file is fetched from there, so any reblog link is fine as long as the source blog is still public. Posts hidden behind Tumblr's mature-content login wall, password-protected blogs, blogs hidden from the web and deleted posts return not found, because our server visits Tumblr as a logged-out reader.
Video, GIF or photoset: what you get back
Tumblr GIFs are real GIF files served as images, often several per post; your browser saves them with a long press on the phone or a right-click on the computer, no tool needed. Photosets are images too. This page covers only Tumblr's native video player: an MP4 with sound, uploaded directly to the post, which the browser's Save option doesn't give you. If a post embeds a YouTube, Vimeo or TikTok player, the file lives on that platform and the link to paste is that platform's, not Tumblr's.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Tumblr video downloader free and safe?
Yes. No account, no app and no limit for normal use. We fetch the MP4 Tumblr serves and hand it to you; we keep no copy and log no full links. One cookie only, from Google Analytics: it counts visits; nothing for advertising.
Does it work with reblogs?
Yes. Paste the link of any post that shows the video; we resolve the original file.
Why does a post say not found?
The blog is private, password-protected, marked as adult-only behind a login, or the post was deleted.
Do GIFs work?
Not through this page, and you do not need it for them. A Tumblr GIF is an image file, not a video: press and hold it on the phone and choose Save image, or right click it on the computer and choose Save image as. This page covers Tumblr's native video player, which the browser's Save option cannot give you.
Can I get the MP3 of a Tumblr video?
Yes. Tap Download MP3 on the second row; the audio is extracted on our server at 128 kbps and named tumblr_ plus the post id, with .mp3.
Does it work with the Tumblr app share link?
Yes, at.tumblr.com links redirect to the post and are resolved.
Is the quality original?
Yes, we fetch the file Tumblr serves without re-encoding.
Do you keep my Tumblr videos?
No. The MP4 goes from Tumblr's servers to your device; when it has to pass through our server it is streamed without touching disk. We don't log full links either.
Can I download from a private or password-protected blog?
No. The post has to be visible without logging in. Private blogs, password-protected blogs and posts hidden behind a login return not found.
Why does the video play instead of downloading?
Some browsers open MP4 links in the player. Use the Download MP4 button on this page rather than the video's own link: we send the file with a download header, and on iPhone it lands in Files.
Do photos or photosets work?
Not on this page. It handles video posts (MP4) and their audio (MP3). Image posts and photosets are not supported.
Is there a download limit?
No daily quota. The only fixed limit is 30 minutes per video. Very fast repeated use may trigger a short check.
