How to download
Open the video or reel in Facebook, tap Share and choose Copy link. fb.watch links work too.
Drop the link into the field above with Paste, or type it in. /videos/, /watch?v=, /reel/, fb.watch and facebook.com/share/v/ links are all read, and the result appears after a second or two. The browser inside the Facebook app can't save files: open isaveall in Safari or Chrome.
Tap Download MP4. You get one file: the HD rendition when Facebook generated it, the SD one otherwise. It saves to your gallery or Downloads.
What you can download
Why some videos come out in HD and others in SD
Facebook keeps two renditions of most videos: an SD version around 360p to 480p, and an HD version at 720p or 1080p when the upload allowed it. This tool gives you one file, the HD rendition whenever it exists. If your file is SD, Facebook never generated an HD version for that video, which is common with old uploads, phone uploads on slow connections and videos re-shared from other pages.
Audio is always included. Very long videos, such as recorded lives of several hours, are limited to 30 minutes here to keep the service fast for everyone.
Links that work and links that don't
Public videos from pages, profiles and public groups work, in any of Facebook's link formats: /videos/, /watch?v=, /reel/, fb.watch and the long share links from the app. Videos that require a login to view (friends-only posts, private groups, age-restricted content) can't be reached and return a not found error.

What you can and can't pull out of Facebook
Public videos are the whole list: posts from pages, from public profiles and from public groups, plus Watch videos, reels and the recording of a live once Facebook has published it. Any of Facebook's link shapes works, and the file comes out as Facebook serves it, with no logo or watermark added by us.
Private videos do not work, and no tool that only takes a link can make them work. Our server opens your link the way a logged out visitor would: a post shared with friends, a video inside a closed group or an event, an age restricted clip and anything that asks you to sign in first are invisible to it, even when you are a member and can see them in the app. Sites that advertise a private downloader ask you to paste the page's source code instead of the link, which means handing over the HTML of a logged in session. We do not do that and we do not want that file.
Stories are out too. Facebook only serves them to a session and they are gone in 24 hours, so there is nothing public left to fetch. If the same clip was also posted as a reel or a normal video, use that link and it will download here.

Is the Facebook video downloader free and safe?
Yes. There is no account, no app and no paid version. We fetch the public file Facebook serves and hand it to you; we keep no copy and log no full links. The single cookie here belongs to Google Analytics, and it counts visits; nothing for advertising.
Do downloaded Facebook videos have a watermark?
No. You get the same MP4 that Facebook plays, with nothing burned on top: we add no logo, no frame and no watermark. If you see a logo inside the picture, whoever uploaded the video put it there before publishing it, and no tool can take it out without cropping or repainting the frame.
Why is my file SD and not HD?
Because Facebook only produced an SD rendition for that video. We always take the HD one when it exists; when it doesn't, SD is the best copy Facebook has, complete and with sound.
Can I download videos from private groups or friends-only posts?
No. Our server sees Facebook as a logged-out visitor, so anything limited to friends or to a private group is invisible to it, even if you are a member.
Do fb.watch links work?
Yes. Paste them as Facebook copies them.
How do I tell if a Facebook video is public before pasting it?
Look at the audience icon next to the post's date: a globe means public and downloadable; two silhouettes (friends) or a lock means Facebook hides it from visitors and the download will fail.
Do you keep my Facebook videos?
No. The MP4 comes from Facebook's CDN to your browser; on a phone it passes through our server only to force the download, without being written to disk. Neither the file nor the full link is logged.
Is there an MP3 option for Facebook videos?
Yes. Under the MP4 the result lists facebook_ plus the video id with .mp3; tap Download MP3 and the audio is extracted on our server at 128 kbps. There is also a dedicated Facebook to MP3 page.
Does it work with videos inside public groups?
Yes if the group is public. Closed or private groups need a login and won't work.
Can I download Facebook Watch shows?
Public Watch videos work; paid or region-locked content doesn't.
Does the result show the resolution before I download?
Not for Facebook: its file carries no quality label, so the result shows the file name only. Once downloaded, your player's info panel tells you whether it is 720p, 1080p or SD.
Does it work with live videos?
Only after the live ends and Facebook publishes the recording.
