How to download
Open the post on X, tap Share and choose Copy link. x.com and twitter.com links both work.
Paste the link into the box above (or type it). We find the video in the post (x.com, twitter.com or t.co link) and the MP3 row appears under the MP4. For a post with several videos, open the one you want on X before copying the link, so it carries /video/2 and points to it. Use Safari or Chrome, not the browser inside the X app.
Tap Download MP3 on the second row. The track is extracted on our server and saves to your device as twitter_ plus the post id, with .mp3.
What you can download
From video post to MP3
X doesn't offer audio-only files, so the MP3 is extracted from the best video rendition of the post: the track is decoded and encoded again at 128 kbps, which matches the quality X streams. Voice notes, interviews, clips of talks and music snippets all work the same way.
The file is named with the post id, contains no video and no watermark, and weighs about one megabyte per minute.
What works on X and what doesn't
Voice notes and video replies, clips of interviews and talks, music snippets and the long videos Premium accounts can post all give an MP3, up to 30 minutes of audio. Recorded Spaces are not videos in a post and can't be converted, and posts marked as sensitive content are shown only to logged-in users, so they fail here. Audio from a public post still belongs to whoever published it or to the rights holder of the music: keeping a copy for personal listening is fine, sampling it in a track or a podcast you publish needs permission.
X to MP3: what happens to an x.com link
Paste an x.com, twitter.com or t.co link and the tool reads the post, finds the video and puts the MP3 row right under the MP4. Nothing changes if the link says x.com or twitter.com: both point to the same post and both work. A shortened t.co link works too, because we follow it before reading the post.
If the post carries more than one video, open the one you want on X first and copy the link from there, so it ends in /video/2 or /video/3. A link without that part lists the videos of the post and no MP3 row appears, because we don't guess which of them you meant.
Why one bitrate and not three
Other converters offer 128, 192 and 320 kbps. X stores the audio of a post at a rate close to 128 kbps, so asking for 320 doesn't add anything to the sound: it re-encodes the same track into a file two and a half times bigger. We give you 128 kbps, which is what the source holds, and the file is ready in one step. A minute of audio weighs about one megabyte.
The MP3 is built on our server while it downloads to you, never written to disk, and gone when the transfer ends. The full link isn't logged either.

Is the Twitter (X) to MP3 converter free?
Yes. No account, no app and no limit for normal use. The MP3 is made on our server from the video X serves and streamed to you as it is produced; nothing is stored.
Does it work with Spaces?
No. Spaces are audio rooms, not videos in a post, and X doesn't expose their recordings the way it serves video. Only videos in posts can be converted.
Can I play the MP3 on iPhone without an app?

How long does it take to convert a Twitter video to MP3?
A few seconds for a normal clip. The audio is extracted while the file streams to you, so there is no queue and no waiting screen. A 30 minute video, which is the limit, takes longer than a 30 second one, but the download starts before the conversion ends.
Can I download the audio of a voice note?
Voice notes are posted as videos on X, so yes: paste the post link.
Does it work with links copied from the X app?
Yes. The Share menu of the X app copies a link this tool reads without changes, on both x.com and twitter.com, and t.co short links work too. Open it in Safari or Chrome, though: the browser built into the X app blocks the download.
Why is my MP3 silent?
If the post is a GIF or a muted video, there is no audio track to extract. Use the video or GIF downloader instead.
Can I choose the bitrate?
No. The MP3 comes at 128 kbps. X stores the audio at a similar rate, so a higher bitrate would only make the file bigger.
Is there a length limit?
Yes, 30 minutes per video. Longer videos are not converted.
Does it work with protected or age-restricted accounts?
No. Posts from protected accounts can't be fetched, and posts marked as sensitive or age-restricted are only served to a logged-in account. Only public posts give an MP3.
