Download Instagram Reels on your phone or your computer

   Copy the reel link

   Open the reel, tap the three dot menu and choose Copy link. That gives an instagram.com/reel/ address, which is the one that carries the post code.

   Open isaveall in Safari or Chrome

   The browser inside the Instagram app cannot save files. Open your normal browser from the home screen instead of tapping a link inside the app.

   Paste the link on the reels page

   Drop it into the box on the Instagram Reels downloader page and tap the arrow. Tracking tails such as ?igsh= are ignored, so paste the address exactly as you copied it.

   Choose MP4 or MP3

   MP4 is the reel with its audio, up to 1080p as Instagram serves it. MP3 on the row below is the sound alone at 128 kbps. Either file is named instagram_ plus the post code.

Instagram links are not being resolved from our server at the moment, so a reel pasted on the site comes back with no result. The Instagram pages say so rather than pretending otherwise, and nothing else is affected: TikTok, Facebook and X links resolve normally.

If the reel is yours, Instagram has its own export: Settings, Accounts Center, Your information and permissions, Download your information. It takes a while to arrive and covers your own account only, but it hands you the originals.

The rest of this guide still earns its place. The device steps below are the same for every download on the site, so if you came to find out where Safari puts a video or why your gallery has not noticed it, the answers hold for the links that do work today.

The Instagram app has a save button, but it only bookmarks the reel inside the app, where it disappears the moment the author deletes the post. Safari is what puts a file on the phone: it asks you to confirm, then writes the MP4 into Files, in the Downloads folder, as instagram_ plus the post code.

From Files, tap the reel, then Share and Save Video, and it lands in Photos under Recents. If Safari plays the reel instead of downloading it, press and hold the button and choose Download Linked File.

Tapping an isaveall link from inside Instagram opens the app's browser, which has no download manager. Use its menu to open the page in Safari instead.

Chrome writes the reel to the Download folder of internal storage and a notification follows the transfer. Google Photos or Samsung Gallery lists it within seconds, usually in a Downloads album, and from there it goes to WhatsApp or Telegram like any other video.

If the gallery has not picked it up, open Files by Google or My Files, go to Download and tap the file once. On Samsung phones that folder is at My Files, Internal storage, Download. Samsung Internet, Firefox and Brave download like Chrome; the browser inside the Instagram app does not.

On a computer the address bar does the work. Open the reel on instagram.com and the address reads instagram.com/reel/ followed by a code. You do not have to be logged in to copy a public reel's address.

The download link points at Instagram's own servers, so a browser may play the reel in a tab rather than save it. Right click the Download MP4 button and choose Save link as. The file goes to your Downloads folder as H.264 video with AAC audio, which every editor reads.

A reel lives at instagram.com/reel/ and is public by default. Older feed videos sit at instagram.com/p/ and behave the same way, and a post with several items is a carousel, where each photo and video gets its own button in the carousel tool.

Stories are out of reach by design: Instagram serves them only to a signed in session, and this site never signs in. Private accounts work the same way, including accounts you follow.
