How to download
Open the reel or post in Instagram, tap the three dots (or the share icon) and choose Copy link.

Which links this tool accepts
Any public video post that is not a reel: instagram.com/p/ links, former IGTV videos, horizontal and 4:5 uploads, and the share links the app generates, with or without the tracking parameters Instagram adds. If a post contains several videos, each one is listed with its own button. A reel link pasted here still returns its MP4, but the Instagram Reels downloader is the page written for that case.
Stories, highlights and DMs are not public web content and require a session; they are outside this tool by design.
Sound, aspect ratio and length
The MP4 keeps the original aspect ratio (square, 4:5 or vertical) and the original sound, including music that Instagram may mute in some countries for licensing reasons; in that case the file is silent because that is what Instagram serves there. Videos up to 30 minutes are supported, which covers every regular Instagram post.
What happened to IGTV, and why old links still work
Instagram retired the IGTV brand and folded those videos into the normal feed, but the posts never went away. A video published as IGTV still lives at an instagram.com/p/ or instagram.com/tv/ address, still plays, and still downloads here as the MP4 Instagram stores. That includes the long horizontal uploads from the IGTV years, which is the main thing you cannot get from a reels tool: reels are capped at vertical short-form, and an old IGTV episode can run far longer and in a completely different shape.
The practical rule is the link. If it says instagram.com/reel/, it is a reel. Anything else that plays a video, whether it was posted as IGTV, as a feed video or as a 4:5 upload, belongs on this page.

Which Instagram videos work?

Do I need an Instagram account to use it?
No. We fetch what Instagram shows to a logged-out visitor, which covers every public post. Videos from private accounts stay out of reach, even for followers, because we never sign in.
Does the Instagram video come with a watermark?
No. Instagram doesn't burn a logo into its videos; the MP4 is the file Instagram's player streams, untouched.
Do you keep the videos?
No. The MP4 travels from Instagram's CDN to your device; on a phone it passes through our server only to force the download, without touching disk. Neither the file nor the full link is logged.
Does it work with IGTV and old video posts?
Yes. Any public video post, including former IGTV videos, works with its instagram.com/p/ link.
Can I download a video from a story?
Not with this tool: stories need a logged-in session. Only feed videos and reels.
Why is there no sound?
Some videos are posted without audio or Instagram muted the track for copyright; we deliver exactly what Instagram stores.
Does the file keep its aspect ratio?
Yes. Square, vertical or landscape, the MP4 is the original.
Is it legal to download Instagram videos?
Keeping a public video for your own use is normally fine. Republishing it is not: the video belongs to whoever posted it, so reuploading it, using it in an ad or putting it in your own edit needs their permission. We only read public posts, never use an account, and keep no copy of the file.
Does the creator get notified when I download their video?
No. We fetch the public file from Instagram's servers. Nothing is posted, liked or viewed from your account, because there is no account involved.
Is there a limit on how many videos I can download?
There is no daily quota. We only slow down traffic that looks automated, so normal use never hits a limit.
Why does the video play in the browser instead of downloading?
Some browsers open MP4 links inline. Use the Download button on this page, which forces a file download. If it still plays, long-press the video and choose Save.
